Help from the Design Bees Team
Quick Guide to Design Bees.
To log a job head to the Design Portal here The briefing template is easy to follow and you can load all the briefing materials into that form. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE DESIGN BRIEF It does depend on what you are briefing, but you will need to have things like:
The copy (words) you want for the design
Any specific images you want used
To know the sizes of what you need (don't worry we will guide you on social posts etc)
Any inspiration files that help us understand what you want
The presentation content you want designed (if applicable)
NEED TO EXPLAIN SOMETHING TRICKY- USE A SHORT LOOM VIDEO
If you need to explain something complicated, we suggest you submit a Loom video briefing with your request.
Loom is free screen recorder (it's only free for videos up to 5 minutes, so keep it short and sweet).
The last question in our online brief asks if there is "anything else you want to tell us". Place your Loom video link in there for the designer to watch. Watch the video below, and it will show you the type of information you can provide us.
REVIEWING AND APPROVING YOUR DESIGNS
We will send you all your design files to review and approve via FileStage.io We use this portal, as it makes it easier for you to give feedback and tell us exactly where you want the changes. Look out for the email notifications coming from notifications@filestage.io. FileStage uses a click and comment functionality, and we think it quite easy to use, but if you do happen to get stuck you can watch this video to understand how to give your comments to us via FileStage.
HOW DO I PRIORITISE A JOB?
We work on jobs in the order submitted (the last job submitted is worked on last) - unless you tell us otherwise and prioritise a job over another.
To re-order your jobs by priority in your queue first go to your Design Dashboard in the portal. Then follow the Step by Step instructions listed in the video below.
HOW DO I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY JOB?
Click on the “Design Dashboard” link from the Home Page of the portal
All jobs are given a status bar of where they are in the design process. You will find the Status just under the job name on the card.
This is what the Status Bars mean and where your job is at. Remember if you want to prioritize a job you can do this too! Check out our FAQ in this section for how to do this.
